I have a valve mounted there to switch back and forth from aux fuel tank. It spins all the way around just like the markings on your hump

I I had never read this being the reason needing the small draw of the resistor or the bulb. I always thought that you needed it in order for the alternator to excite. Looks like I’ll be putting one in line now. Thanks!

Do you have a 5687 8000 lbs winch on your 40? Disks are the way to go. Axle probably needs rebuild anyways..

Below is the write up I did on my 75’. The GM alternator conversion has been a great update for me! The 4 AWG wire directly to the battery really helps when charging under load while using the winch, lights and so on. I've melted the leads to the factory alternator before which may or may not...

Shoot, that’s a good question.. I had my seats re-done many years ago. I will look when I do them again.
