Update 2: The oil level has lowered. I’m now halfway between the two dots. Currently at 156,160 km. It’s definitely still consuming oil. If I’m not mistaken, that’s around half a litre/quart in just 1000 miles.

With the amount of money I've spent on repairs and premature wear in just 100,000 miles, I wouldn't rule that out as a possibility. I'm not mechanically inclined, so mechanics love me. I'll try cleaning it off now.

You’re right, it does sound normal on video. If I had kept recording, it would probably be more obvious. Might just ignore that noise. Edit: If you compare the last second with the rest of the video, you can hear the difference.

I always make sure to service the car on time and never skip on any maintenance items, so I hope it’s just the PCV valve. I asked around for the PCV valve today but it isn’t in stock in most places here. I’ll have it changed as soon as I can and will get back to you.

Yes, I made sure it wasn’t overfilled like my dealer used to always do but it was perfectly filled right up to the top dot. I checked periodically but stopped after around 5,000km because I thought it would be fine.
