Never mind I was completely wrong... no bracket.

I havent had a chance to look at it but yes I believe it is cast and a 2F motor. With all the strange splices and other things that I have found with the front harness I am seriously considering pulling the back harness and inspecting it as well.

Yes my alternator is on the drivers side. Should I move it to the passenger side?

Thanks for the info. I think I am missing a plug for my rear harness. Mine were all twisted together.

I also have another question. Can someone help me out with the dash switches? Maybe post a picture of theirs or just tell me what I have (other than the obvious). Thanks again for everyone's help.

Also check out this alternator. I looks like there isnt a plug and that it soldered in.

Alright people I am already running into a few questions and in need of everyone's expert advice. Is the rear harness typically spliced in or does it have a plug?

Thanks for all the great advice I will start digging in hopefully within the next couple days. I am also concerned of what wiring has been done and the amount of damage that has been done by the burnt wire. I will pull everything and inform what i find. I know I am going to have many questions...
