Gearing: HJ60 2H with 33s will become built 12H-T with 35s down the track

Ah sorry, it's a H55F as well! Also sorry for the late reply, had a tough week. Did you change gearing in your transfercase? I don't know the stock ratios. or are 3:1 and 1:1 stock ratios? I currently average around 11 to 12l/100km, going up to 14l in heavy city driving Okay, so your suggestion...

Gearing: HJ60 2H with 33s will become built 12H-T with 35s down the track

Hey guys! First up I'm a little unsure if my topic is better qualified for the Diesel Tech category or here in the 60 series area. If it's better in the Diesel Tech section I'm happy to be transfered over! I'm a little torn in regards to regearing and am collecting different opinions to make my...

Builds HJ60 off-road camper project "Crewser" from Stuttgart/Germany

Hey guys! I just installed the 50mm/2" OME heavy suspension for the diesels (CS005F&CS005RA/B) - and removed the 40mm Body Lift resulting in way better lines regarding the bumpers and in the wheel wells. I also have 90mm shackles in the front, and 120mm in the rear! Thats the distance from pin...

Hey Mate! That's great to hear, congratulations on the 61! I'm currently traveling through the Pyrenees and will be back in 3 weeks! ;) I also haven't posted anything here about the build anymore, might catch up on it soon. For now best bet is to follow me on Instagram for new project updates...

DIY roof rack - floor mesh material?

Forgot to turn on notifications.. I've read from some guys who are using expanded mesh that they don't have wind noise problems? Of to prevent flexing and rattling the mesh has to be spot welded rigorously all around! Thanks David!:) I loooove the wood! Looks brilliant! Had that idea...

DIY roof rack - floor mesh material?

Hey guys! I'm in the process of building my own roof rack for my HJ60, as classic looking racks aren't really available in Germany, and shipping from the states would be ridiculously expensive! I already resorted to the Gamiviti Feet, since I like their design a lot, and again couldn't find...

Permanent fix (in progress): Fuel/temp gauge spiking (pics, not dialup friendly)

Curious if there are any updates? :) Very interested for a German HJ60 24V! Temp gauge is always on hot, fuel only comes down when the tank is almost empty. Hope you settled in back nicely into your shop!

The last weeks have been a bit stressful, that's why you haven't heard anything from me! I did fix the heater, I'm not sure what the real problem was, I think it was a bad connection to the heater relais. Stripped everything back to original wiring, soldered back together whatever was supposed...

No worries, it's a 24V to 12V Converter! Won't throw it away either! Tilt Meter was sadly never in my Cruiser, would love to have one!;)

Further investigation: Looking into broken Cables along the way of the receptical lead! There's power at the fuse box for the cigarette lighter! There's no continuity from there to the receptical. The cable from the lighter up until the plug behind the instrument panel has continuity...

What an incredibly detailed drawer/sleeping platform build! Best find this month! Exactly what I was searching for, I think I'm going to steal a lot of ideas from you for my drawer/sleeping platform build! It also helps a lot having your measurements! :) Any progress on the sleeping platform...

I just looked into the cigarette lighter receptical situation and came to the following conclusion: Whatever kind of power comes out of the receptical, it's the "WRONG" kind of power!:D I repaired the cables/plug behind it, now my multimeter says ~24V, no more 9V rubbish. However nothing...

It took me a bit longer to write the second part, maybe some of you guys have some insight on these problems: After further investigating the POs electrical disfiguring I also ended up where all the relays are (I guess!?, I'm having trouble understanding the FSM diagram to locate all the...

I've been working on the electric under the dash today, cleaning up the mess previous owners did under there, as well as fix some electrical gremlins, probably all caused by said POs:D. I managed to get the fuel and temperature gauge to work somewhat properly. The Fuel Gauge seems to be...

Thank you! :) I'm not so sure if I'll leave them on when I'll change tires and rims some day, but they do grow an me!:D PO put them on there to fully cover the tires for the German TÜV. That's a great idea, will do! Didn't see any on their website, but maybe they'll still have some in their...
