I’ll be hauling my 40 from Charleston SC to San Diego at the end of the month. I may have some room on the trailer for some items. Nothing too big. Smaller stuff could go in the back of my pickup or possibly in the 40, but larger items would be exposed to the elements.

Looking to get like $400 for the tranny and $200 for the 2F. Not set on those prices, but figure I can get something for them and put it into my FJ40. I’m in Summerville.

Anyone local in need of a Transmission and transfer case out of a 78 FJ40? It’s missing a couple external bolts, but had no issues when pulled. I also have a 2F out of a 84 FJ60 that has 240k on it. Never rebuilt. I’m going to moving this next summer so they’ve got to go.

I don't know if anyone is looking for a project, but there's a fj40 for sale in the Facebook marketplace for $3500. I'd post a link, but don't know where to find the marketplace on the web, only in the app. It looks rough but they say it runs.

Sounds good. My 40 is still in pieces but I wanted to come out there still. I'm picking up a soda blaster tomorrow after cars and coffee so she will be completely media blasted come Monday. If anyone needs paint removed from body parts/parts, I'll have it through blaster through Monday.
