Does anyone know if you can put a 33” tire on the original spare tire carries on the fj40 and it won’t bend the metal or cause cracks to appear because of the weight of the tire. The tire carrier is originally and I haven’t changed it in any way. Thanks

I want to put a 4” lift on for clearance and I like the taller look. But what I don’t want to happen is have it be too heavy and roll my 40. Does the 4” make it too heavy or is that not a concern?

What modification did you have to do to make this setup work?

So it all sounds like a lot of work. In your opinion if the 3 speed and the 4 speed have the same 1 to 1 then it may not be worth it. Would you say then that I should leave it alone or go with the H55f to really make a difference and get my money’s worth?
