Hey guys quick update I’ve been real busy so haven’t had any time to wrench! But today had a bit of time before work and was able to do a combustion leak test and didn’t get any signs of gas coming through. First image was before starting her up and second was about 5 minutes afterwards.

Really what about cloudy coolant, and water out the exhaust? I mean I guess I could do the combustion leak test but what else could it be then??

Interesting I had always thought that when this happens the engine would get hot since the crank is just spinning without the HB spinning the belts. Where were you able to find a new one?

Ahh interesting this was going to be my next check if I hadn’t been worried about the smoky exhaust. What was wrong with your balancer? Just improperly placed or damaged?

Soooo upon further review today, oil is milky and smells like coolant inside the oil filler cap. Checked spark plugs but they seemed normal, no water, went to start it up after checking n smoke from back, nothing heavy however after a minute or two started smelling the sweet smell went to turn...

Got it okay I believe someone else mentioned that as well so will do once I figure out this coolant situation thank you!

Got it will do! Def don’t want to hydro lock it didn’t realize it was that easy thanks! So to reiterate take plugs out, hand crank till each piston is at the top, and check if there’s any water/coolant? If so got it, boss.

Yeah I did, took battery tray out to have more space on right side

Hmm didn’t really touch much else other than the necessary to take out the balancer pulley but maybe I’m just not seeing something.

If I take out spark plugs and turn it by hand would I be able to see coolant come out or what would be the reason for me to do that other than check if they’re clean. Yeah I figured as so gonna dig in tomorrow n do these basic tests first.
