Follow up on an old post... the 80 survived with an axle transplant from a 93 model. Transplant was an open diff. Been beating on the truck since '09 with the open diff until recently. This summer had a wheel bearing failure on the passenger side so I decided to pull the axle for a rebuild...

Thank you everyone for this thread, i'm back to power locks. Dorman part number 746-654 is a screw together actuator for drivers side front. I think 746-655 is passenger side front. Thanks again.

State was euphoric, had a great day riding trails.

Cruiser Gets Smashed Same 80, but has now completed transition to a man. For the record, the truck is only missing the rear hatch window and the headlight does not work. The marshmallow roasting stick does an excellent job as an antenna. Stormin Norman has inspired me!

Forget about the chainsaw, you have to hold your deer rifle during that.

What a great truck. I hope it runs forever.
