For Sale  Seattle, WA - ConFerr Rack for FZJ80, 60 series or anything else with rain gutters. $350.

I've got a ConFerr rack with three sidebars in Seattle, WA. It has some mesh welded to it that makes the bottom more useable depending on what you're using it for. I was psyched about it but it's not really gonna work with the roof rack accessories that I have for my vehicle. I'm now on the...

I'm in GJ right now and have a full ConFerr rack that I'd be interested in selling if you're interested?

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Finally took the LX450 out on 35s and ran (most of) Naches trail. I knew she was gonna be awesome offroad, but I had no idea she'd be this good! It was so fun to cruise around up that little pass. We found a lot of mud, some snow, a lot of rain. The LX450 didn't skip a beat up and over...

    Oil pressure sender tees

@NLXTACY that's a gorgeous little tee. I'll have one of those turbo kits someday...

    Oil pressure sender tees

Ohh, I like the idea of moving it to the firewall? How'd you do that? Is there an extender kit that you used?

    Oil pressure sender tees

I am running an after-market oil pressure gauge since I'm obsessed with making sure my engine is running nicely. I still want to run an OEM oil pressure gauge cause I like it when the dash all works. I know folks don't like the copper tees. But does anyone have issues with the steel tees? I...

    1996 LX450

@brad187b did you want the springs? They’re out and gonna to the trash unless you’re interested in them?

    1996 LX450

She’s running like a top now! I played with a timing light this morning. She’s was at 0 degrees until now and now I have her set to about 5 degrees now. I also had her missing when I had it in reverse. It only happened when she was warmed up. I played with the wiring harness where all the heat...

    1996 LX450

I got my PHH replaced! Believe it or not that was what this whole giant mess started with. Finally got the head back from the machine shop. They did a fantastic job even if it was a little over a month late in getting it finished (painful). They didn't do a full valve job, the guy at the...

    Decapitated my 80

I just did the HG on my fz80 I'd get the kit. You're gonna save yourself a lot of pain. All the valve seals and tons of other seals/gaskets to go with it. I got head bolts from the stealership. They weren't cheap but easily available. Everything shipped and got here in less than a week.

front seat gear swap (Broken Seat/Missing Cap Issue, pt. 2)

How close do they have to be? I aligned mine within about a 1/16" and my seat makes terrible noises moving backwards, it moves forwards alright. I'm a little frustrated, I've taken it apart and tried to line it up about 10 times. Any thoughts on getting it all lined up and working well?

    80 vs 100 Series

To be totally fair. I don't have opinions on the 100 series. I don't think I've ever even been in one. Just feel that the 4.7 shouldn't be the reason you're not into a 100 series. Totally agreed haha. I've spent a lot of time in a VVTI equipped Sequoia and a non VVTI equipped GX470 and they'll...

    80 vs 100 Series

    > The 4.7 is a so so motor. Now that is a hot take. The 4.7 is a total tank. It doesn't have the head gasket issues that so many other toyota vehicles had. It in general is super easy to work on. It gets almost the exact same gas mileage as a 4.5. I'm shocked you pick that as the reason you...

    1FZFE Pistons/rings

My head is currently at a machine shop getting a valve job and decked. I got a call from the guy doing the work that there was “a lot” of carbon build up on my valves. He said he wanted to pull the valve seals first, but that the carbon build up could be indicative of rings or cylinder wall...
