They have, but I have 2 cans from Idaho. #FJI My question is do I need to go to a mechanic and have them remove the old air in the refrigerant line and compressor prior to recharging the system to make room for the new coolant? Or is that process not needed..
I believe having the old...
I am looking at recharging the AC on my LX470 on my own with a canister of R-132A. I have read both ways that you do and don't have to vacuum down the old refrigerant in the system. Who has experience with re-changing you AC system on your own? And did you vacuum down the old refrigerant...
Found the Toyota part number for the pig tail with out wires. Problem is local dealer said it would take a week to get it cuz it just has to come out of the warehouse in the Midwest

well i got the stud out with some penetrating oil and the impact screw gun, but it looks like I dont even need it, lol. But upon reinstall the wiring harness plug locking clip snapped. :(
any advance on where to get one? rock auto maybe
Does anyone have any input on how to remove this stud from the alternator that's threaded. If I hit it with some penetrating oil and let it sit for a while will she come out? Or is there a Loctite on the other end of it?
I would also suggest changing the PCV valve and the spark plug gaskets. If you have the valve cover off do them now. Mine look original and if that was the case then they had been then for 216k miles. They were hard as a rock. I got 4 extra bolts just incase I snapped one or the threads on...
yeah I did, I will upload a picture of my parts order from Toyota. Just need to do it from my phone not the desktop.
Bolt washers 90210-07001 listed @ $4.90 ea, I paid $1.96 ea. parts manager was very nice
Yeah I got it out, just took awhile. I took it out from under the vehicle, had to drain the radiator and remove the lower radiator hose. It was kinda a PITA. Sounds like I should have taken it out from the top maybe. I ordered a replacement from the local parts store "O'riellys" Thur. Went...
Cool I will try to remove it without removing the radiator first if no luck there then I will try it with removing the radiator. I am having trouble finding the wiring harness for the alternator as I expect that mine is original and will break. Might have to get it from the Toyota dealer :(
Thats why I was leaning towards removing it. Last think I wana do is have to replace something else too because I damaged it.
Radiator looks pretty straightforward to remove, i think
Well my Alternator took a dump on the wife last night. Ordered a replacement and need to change it today after I pick it up. Sounds straightforward, we shall see. Debating on whether I want to drop the radiator or not. Power steering hoses are leaking some good fluid down the hoses and that...
