What did you do to your Land Cruiser/Toyota/Lexus 4X4 this week?

I had a busy week with with 66 FJ40. I pulled the engine, transmission, and transfer case. Everything I read on here said it would be fairly easy. It was not. But, it is done. With some help, I got everything separated and the original F engine is with Baker's automotive machine shop. It will...

Roof question for a 1966 Land Cruiser (FJ40)

So, the vehicle doesn't have corrugated sides. It has been in my wife's family since 1967 and as far as I know, everything is stock, minus a heater that was added and her Grandfather put sliding windows in on the side. It could be that the roof is so closely mated with the rain gutter that there...

Roof question for a 1966 Land Cruiser (FJ40)

Thanks for the reply. I will take a look at it. The roof is coming off this week to be repaired the and body shop keeps saying there isn't a separate gutter but as far as I know, the roof is original to vehicle.

Thanks everyone. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and looking forward to this project. The vehicle was brought new by my Wife’s grandfather, who gave it to my wife’s Dad, who is giving it to us. It has sat outside in the elements from thirty years but looks decent enough. I hope...

    Introduce Yourself

86R100RS, Thank you very much for the offer. I might take you up on that once I get it so it can be rolled, pushed, or pulled, I will reach out to you. That is a huge ask though so I really do appreciate the offer. It has been sitting on the same tires for at least 30 years, if not longer, so I...

    Introduce Yourself

Hi Everyone. I am new to this board and new to Land Cruisers in general. I have always wanted one and my Father-in-Law is giving my wife and I his 1967 FJ40. It has been sitting for more than 30 years up in the Prescott area and is in desperate need of work. I have always wanted to take on a...
