Other than a crack in the power steering hose, the weekend was perfect.

For real, it’s amazing how inaccurate the weather forecast was calling for all those thunderstorms, but never getting a drop of rain.

Anyone had the same experience? Low pitch erratic rumbling noise only on cold startups. Within a few minutes, it goes away. Sounds coming from the front of the engine around the pulleys.

I wish this was the case for me. Unfortunately the Toyota alternator on mine failed testing even with new brushes, time for a rebuild. The new alternator from Autozone also didn't work right out of the box. Had it tested and it failed as well.

What’s your voltage at idle? Sounds like it’s on the way out.

Good info, I like that upgrade. I did test power off the post on the alternator and all the fusible links. All check out and no charge at the alternator. Any idea if the charge fuse is supposed to read 12V? little to no reading on either side of the fuse.
