Thanks, very helpful. Mine has been desmogged and carb switched from OEM to Weber. I'll hold on in case I ever switch back to OEM. I'll add to the box with pedal and linkage along with the hog wire and sharkbite parts the PO left for me!

My January '76 has it too. Removing it now since can't figure out what it is for. My truck has a weber 38 and the PO rigged the throttle linkage to work on it using wire twisted around the booster and even added some sharkbite parts (I'm not kidding). Converting it to the weber/TPI pedal kit...

While chasing a vacuum leak at the base of the carb I removed it to find a crack in the center of the intake manifold. Looks like it was repaired at some point with an epoxy which partially flaked off. No telling how long ago. I'm looking for an intake manifold but started thinking... is it...
