Yes. By getting them torqued down properly would give peace of mind of any exhaust fumes leaking from them.

Thank you for sharing! Only thing this instruction is missing, is the torque required for the air injector nozzle “The fitting that screws into the head”. This looks like the torque value for the compression fittings. Those fittings are attached to the air rail and screw onto the top of each air...

Good question!! Been trying to find out for awhile now. Nothing in the FAQ I could find. Is that antiseize around the injectors? Was tempted to do that to but with the temperature I decided not too.

Yep. I found a pic of my original made from cloth asbestos fiber. Also, the replacement version in steel. See below. If there was a way to verify that at least the 3 piece manifold horn would fit the curve of your 75-6 cali version. That would be a start. Then modifying the other bolt hole location.

Great article and work around!! Wanted to ask you about the plugs. They look like threaded bolts with the bolt head on the inside where the butterfly valve used to be. How did you install them? Did they slide in with the threads? or did you tap new threads to match in the exhaust manifold?

Do you know whether or not there is reference to thread sealer in FSM? I’ve looked in a few LC manuals but can’t find it.
