In the next couple of months or by the end of this year I will be trying to get more power out of the 2LT as reliably as possible. I already did a turbo swap from a CT20 to a CT9 from the Toyota Hiace. The power and torque increase is noticeable at lower rpms which is exactly what I wanted. Now...
Any updates on this thread? Did you manage to fit the TD04 turbo on your 2LTE engine GTTSportCoupe?
And how is your turbo running Tony89?
When did your old CT20 spool compared to the CT9? I am considering either the TD04 or the CT9 to put on my 2LT engine but the TD04 requires a lot more work...
Is anyone running the mamba tech 9-11 turbocharger for toyota ct20 19T 2-LT 2.4L or the high flow stage 3 toyota ct20 upgrade from turbobits? I am asking because I would like to know how they perform and if they spool faster at lower rpms. My ct20 spools quite late at about 2000rpms and that...
Thanks for your replies. I'll try my best to put it in the exhaust manifold. I think pre turbo is the most accurate and I never heard of probes breaking or causing trouble, hopefully mine won't either.
I ordered a probe for my egts and I would like to know if I can place it on the turbo side right where it comes conected to the exhaust manifold. I would place it on the manifold but I dont have enough space. Here is a picture of where I would place it.
That was just what I needed to hear. Thanks. So as long as I would get an egt gauge and a boost controller I could turn up the boost just enough so it maybe drops the egt temperature. This would be the case if the engine was running a little too rich from the factory as stated before.
I have read your post about improving your engine and it was very informational. I will try to stick to it with some regulations in my country but hopefully not much difference. Plus its a 3 door so maybe a little bit less weight than yours? How much boost are you running now and is the engine...
What kind of lift do you have to run 33's? And are they 12.5 or 10.5 inch wide tires?
33's would be fine for me too but I think the extra lift and appearance of the car is just different with 35's😁.
Did you in any way modify your engine or do you still have it stock? And a picture with the 33's...
I have a LJ70 with a 2LT engine and would like to know if it is even possible to run 35 inch tires plus other equipment or would the engine struggle too much? If not what kind of upgrades would I have to do to get enough power out of it to be comfortable with such big tires.
Hi I have learned a lot from this thread and I have to thank GTSSsportCoupe for all the info you have shared. But I have to ask. Would all these upgrades to the 2lte engine apply to the 2lt engine aswell? Because the only main difference is the manual injection right? So instead of rellying on...
