I would like a solition for this also my engine compartment fan is unplugged when i bought the vehicle because it nonstop runs no heat shield or thermister on the manifold

I think i have this same problem, runs decent but has spark knock under a load distributer all the way ccw far as it will go

Yeah its an extra for us but we like driving it, definitely ordering a new shroud, have to do a thermostat tomorrow hopefully done blowing coolant hoses for awhile.

Im going to look for a long wrench just for that job

I found what i was looking for this is an engine compartment cooling fan 91-92 only squirrel cage fan mounted left side behind the headlight has a timed sensor and temp sensor hooked to exhaust manifold shield

It has a plastic tube pointing at the intake and comes on when the engine is shut off but mine is staying on, been trying to locate a temp sensor that may be bad or unhooked i think it has to do with hot starting.

Still only 45 degrees f here and snow, thats probley why im running cool still.

My old man said they put it there for a reason, i did find a replacement, i know i hate the design trying to take the fan off in the 2” space they leave you to get the shroud and fan out together.

Anyone else running without fan shroud? Mine was broken and i removed it, just wondering about overheating issues at idle, still pretty cool here had it running for awhile today with no problems. And noticed po had blower fan for the intake unplugged and plugged it back in and now i know why, it...
