Pinstriping in Ocala is inevitable, even in a Wrangler. You can wheel in Citrus and avoid it, the trails are generally wider.

You might be right, however having done this to other vehicles and noting the difference I'm going to do something similar to my FJ80. Found a guy on here who makes a similar kit. I'm ordering from him this week.

Stronger starts, better charging, less issues, better conductivity etc. Plus peace of mind with having fresh cabling on a 30 something year old vehicle. All the things commonsense would tell you that you would get with upgrading and updating 30 something year old wiring.

I'd say let it give up the ghost and move on. Finding someone who knows how to, or even would be able to fix it is going to be harder than you might think. I am going to go with a high quality CarPlay unit for mine.
