Just stumbled on this thread. I'm just up Highway 9 from you in Felton. 1997 2500 Ram diesel here. I go on 4x4 trips to the deserts of Southern California and all over Nevada.

Move bumpers were designed for 8000 pound winches. The frame on a 12k winch won't fit. I did some mods to get it on there. First, I lengthened the slots and using an acetylene torch bent center tabs even with the front of the bumper. I bolted the winch to the existing slots with 1/4" spacers...

Another question: the nylon thrust washers (P/N 13826) have a step on one side. Do the sides with the steps face the drum or the drum supports?
