I spoke to a guy down at Fremantle Fuel injection today, he reckons that around 2003 they introduced some electronic component to the pump which requires effectively a mini ecu in order to run (don't quite understand that), getting the part number of the pump tonight and will call back tomorrow...
Thanks for the feedback guys, basically this pump, being a bargain at $400 is cheaper than even buying a boost compensator to put on my pump alone (not to mention mine needs a refurb - minimum 2k), so the idea was to slap on this pump with the 7m supra hybrid ct26 turbo 3 inch exhaust and...
Hey,
I'm looking at buying a 1hz fuel pump which has been rebuilt and boost compensated. It has been run on an 2003 1hz up until now in a 105 series cruiser and I'm wanting to slap it onto my 1997 80 series 1hz when I turbo it.
The question is, will is fit? Obviously it will need to be timed...
So I've sourced a rebuilt 1hz boost compensated pump, it was running on an 03 1hz in a 100 series, still researching about these pumps, does anyone know what issues I might encounter running this on my 97 1hz? Cheers in advance!
Hey guys,
The time has come for me to do the big end bearings in my 80 series 1hz. It was built in 1997 and currently has 350000kms on it. According to the factory gauge (not that it can really be trusted) oil pressure is good, she doesn't blow much smoke or breath heavy and so I'm planning on...
Once this turbo set up is complete I will be looking into doing a dual cab chop. I have added some pics below of what I had in mind. I'm keen on any info anyone has as to how they went about doing the chop.
Heads up this is a long and detailed read.
There are a number of good threads out on the net for turboing the 1hz engine. Each is better than others in their own way. I thought that I'd do a write up myself for any of those who are interested in doing as I have done. Now this build thread may...
I'll have to have a crack with the waste gate actuator that was already on there first, it's a tight fit so might over boost but will just have to see what happens :D fortunately the 7m I have was already being used on a 1hz so the waste gate actuator has been modified to fit, just changing the...
Just a few comparison shots from my hybrid ct26 build, in the first pic the landruiser ct26 exhaust housing is pictured on the left and the supra 7mgte exhaust housing on the right
Also interested in the wastegate actuator set up you have. Was there a particular reason for going with the mamba one? I'm currently building my own supra 7mgte/ landcruiser ct26 hybrid and haven't decided what wastegate actuator to run yet.
