7mgte supra ct26 mod

I am getting a supra ct26 and i am going to change the turbine (exhaust) housing. I have the opting of an 8cm factory 1hd housing or a 7cm mamba aftermarket housing.
Will the 7cm be better or will it be to much of a restriction and cause high egts?

It will be going on a 1hz no intercooler, 3 inch exhaust and a factory 10mm pump

Are you sure the 58020 factory 1hd housing is 8cm? I have wondered about this before.

Just a few comparison shots from my hybrid ct26 build, in the first pic the landruiser ct26 exhaust housing is pictured on the left and the supra 7mgte exhaust housing on the right

I think the vast majority use the 1HDT exhaust housing when they use a 7MGTE Ct26. Otherwise you can expect very slow spool. The combo although not modern is definitely an improvement over the stock 1HDT Ct26. Friend of mine has this combination in his 1HDT and it works well.
