Is there any way to get the cable to retract to adjust it properly or does this mean that I need a new cable...Its adjustment is maxed out but the ferrule/cylinder on the wire should sit much closer to the orange stopper. I'm wondering if I replace the detent spring sub assembly in the throttle...

So here's what the cable looks like... The little metal cylinder on the wire should be much closer to the orange stop no? I'm at max tightness and it's still SUPER loose. How do i get it to retract?

It's a 92 80 series USA spec. I'll have to check the door tho for the tranny I didn't know that!

Thanks man. I actually used that video to start the job but I have a different transmission. I actually bought the parts he recommended in that video because the website said it would work with my A440F but that's not the case... there are some puzzling differences for me here

I bought 4 transmission solenoids from Cobra Transmission. They said they were for the A440F AND A442F or whatever the FZJ80 has haha. I tore my tranny apart and found 1 cylindrical solenoid that I have no idea how to remove too. No videos or write ups on it that I could find. I wanted to verify...

Yeah I tried adjusting it. Any specific write ups you'd recommend looking at? I always feel like I'm doing stuff wrong. I bought the 4 solenoids and I'll try and take a stab it at soon here.

My 92 80 series land cruiser when I accelerate shortly after starting the vehicle (still warming up), I'll hit like a wall on the pedal and even when I increase pressure there's more resistance but the RPMs and speed don't change... Until eventually it revs up a ton and then the transmission...

The shop turned the rod ends to re-center the steering wheel. But they didn't tell me whether I need an alignment now (but I know they don't have the tools to do alignments at their shop)

Got the box centered. Issue solved! It has a beautiful amount of turning radius with both stops hitting now. Question though... Do I need an alignment now?
