    Reverse Camera Upgrade - Update

Hi, thank you so much and yes, everything is custom designed by me. Had a few iterations before I was happy with it, measuring the infill section for the wind deflector was an absolute PITA and had to rejig the camera mount as it was pointing a little low. I am very happy with the final outcome.

    Reverse Camera Upgrade - Update

Ok guys, some of you may have seen my previous post regarding my rear camera / rear view mirror replacement project. Well, had to fine tune a couple of things and replace some things 'cos they didn't quite work but I now have the project finished and I'm very happy with it. I had to replace the...

    Rear camera project

👍great minds think alike ;). That was my original plan but I have mirrored glass tint film on the back window and was concerned about reflection obscuring the camera, especially when it's raining (yes we occasionally get it in SE QLD). I also needed a bit more clearance past the back tyre to...

At the beginning of the year I had to replace the...

    Samsung tablet "Infotainment" project

The tablet frame would have to be mirrored and the charging port / speaker holes relocated (5 minute job on the design).

    Samsung tablet "Infotainment" project

The original came from when my 5" NAVMAN died after 7yrs faithful service. A friend put me onto WAZE (free GPS app) so decided to use a tablet I had lying around. The original design used a couple of the dash switch holes to mount the frame until I could get around to the more integrated...

    Samsung tablet "Infotainment" project

Yes absolutely, I originally designed it for a 10" Samsung tablet but thought I would try it with the older 8" first. The vent mount that fits into the vent is strong and reinforces the original sleeve with the frame secured by 4 small cabinet screws. I had to make the thing modular as the vent...

    Samsung tablet "Infotainment" project

Hi people, just finished an upgrade project. I had an old 8" Samsung tablet and came up with the idea of making my own "infotainment" centre. I designed and 3D printed a casing and a mount for the tablet which fits into the centre air vent / clock insert on the dash. The mount fits into the...
