problem fixed it was a blocked filter, small plastic filter near the EGR $50 replacement all good now

ok I changed the timing belt today along with the tensioner and idler, nothing wrong with old belt or other bits the noise does increase under acceleration I have taken it to toyota they have no idea what is contrubiting to the noise

I don't think the noise is the timing belt because it is a loud rattle not unlike a chain rattling,although it appears to be coming from behind the timing belt cover I have ordered new belt,elder,tensioner &bolts so will change it all when parts show up, but not holding my breath that this is...

my 1hdfte has a loud rattle coming from the front of the motor, it sounds like it is coming from within the timing cover, the timing belt was renewed. recently by Toyota it's quite loud and is very noticeable on exceleration and idle

I recently brought a late 2008 200 V8 diesel and have noted that the oil pleasure gauge sits on 1/4 doing 2000rpm I changed the oil which looked thick but couldn't change the filter as I am traveling and don't have the required tool to remove the filter, if I push it to around 3000rpm it will go...
