    Analog’s ’19 GX460 Alaska Build

Haven't added anything yet (including a winch), but finally got some time to explore.

    Analog’s ’19 GX460 Alaska Build

Work, essentially. I finished grad school right before the pandemic hit, and––like a lot of people––I reevaluated things and decided to make a change. I love Texas, but I lived there my whole life and I felt it was time to start fresh somewhere. And the great pay in Alaska doesn't hurt. I work...

That sounds great. Definitely louder than the Overland Series! Must sound great under load too.

I hear you. I come from the Mustang world, which is why my first mod was waking up the whisper quiet stock exhaust. I have a deep philosophical problem with running a gas guzzling V8 and not being able to hear it. I'll try and record a fly-by in the next few weeks, but currently the forecast is...

    470 to 460 regrets

The main thing I dislike about moving from the 470 to the 460 is the higher floor in the rear area. Since the seats are built into the floor, it's a couple inches higher, and now barely too high for my old dog to jump into. Also the 470 felt a bit quicker under light/medium throttle. Not sure...

    Analog’s ’19 GX460 Alaska Build

Here is a cold start comparison I made of the Magnaflow exhaust. Both are proper cold starts. You should be able to tell that this exhaust won't have you waking up the neighbors. (I meant to do a couple fly-bys but didn't get around to it and likely won't for a while due to the current winter...

Yes, it sounds very accurate to my ears. You can even hear some of that low-mid boost in the lower RPMs I referred to earlier.

I bought it straight from Magnaflow at that link. I had mine clamped on but I'm sure some will prefer to have it welded. Definitely worth checking out. Edit: Actually it looks like it straight bolts on, not even any clamps required.

It's actually a new product called the Overland Series. https://www.magnaflow.com/products/19544-performance-exhaust-magnaflow-overland-series-cat-back-performance-exhaust-system It's a cat-back under-exit exhaust that gives you a bit more ground clearance: It's a very niche product...

    Analog’s ’19 GX460 Alaska Build

Yeah, it's a bit strangely proportioned with the bumper and no lift. Fixing that with a 2" lift and some Duratracs soon. The Magnaflow exhaust is great. I wanted something audible but reasonable, and this fits that perfectly. Around 1800-2000 RPM under some loads, it can sound a bit woofy...

    Analog’s ’19 GX460 Alaska Build

I picked up a lightly used (≈10k mile) CPO ’19 GX460 in December in preparation for a move from Texas to Alaska for work. As much as I loved my '06 GX470, I wanted something newer and lower mileage. I went with the simplest GX I could find. No air suspension, no camera-based driving aids. I’m...

SOLD  WTB - Rock sliders for 2019 GX 460, new or slightly used.

Looking for new or lightly used sliders that I can get by mid-January. Most places have a massive lead time for new sliders right now and I'm somewhat pressed for time. I'm not too picky about the style, but I'd prefer if they're powdercoated black. I'm willing to pay for shipping or drive to...

    Media GX460 / Prado150 pic thread

Just upgraded from a '06 470 to a '19 460. Love it so far. Preparing for the long trek to Alaska!

    New Member - 460 vs 470 debate for "high-mileage" traveler - leaning to 460

I just sold my 200k mile '06 470 for a 10k mile '19 460 specifically because I'm about to move 3,000 miles across the country with a fully loaded trailer (4k-ish lbs). As reliable as a 470 will be, you're still going to run into more maintenance and hassle with so many more miles, depending...
