I didn’t end up doing anything about it. I haven’t noticed any issues or driveability issues. Temps stayed good, stay current on oil changes and changed out the fluids. I wouldn’t really worry about it unless you just don’t like the light coming on at startup.
If you can tell, that's where most of the water/ condensation usually is, directly in the middle. It doesn't seem to come from any other place around the carpet. This was from idiling with the a/c running in warm humid weather. No rain and no wetness on the passenger side.
It also seems like (and I remember reading a previous post) about water pooling in the low parts of the footwell. I have noticed that's where the water likes to collect. Some days it does it and others it does not.
I ran some weed eater wire into the drain hole coming out of the fire wall but only made it about 8"- 10" before it wouldn't go any further. It does drip out of there just fine (since it has rusted the area underneath it and I haven't added the tubing to extend it). Is there something else I...
I am a bit perplexed with my 2000 LC. I have noticed some dampness and wetness on both my driver side and passenger side footwell carpet. The dampness seems to be directly in the middle of the footwell and doesn't seem to come from anywhere else. There may be a little coming from close to the...
Where did you get yours at? I couldn't imagine one looking that clean in the northeast. . And yeah i had the mechanic who did some of the PM for me look at it and they said it wasn't anything to worry about but it was also my first time there and I don't think I'll be back for various other...
I kicked my passenger rear tire and you could hear the rattling. And since the previous owner replaced the rotors and pad, I'm guessing it's the shim issue. The driver rear tire didn't make that sound.
Curious to get some opinions from everyone here. Recently picked up a 2000 LC for a good deal for 4500 with 202k. even though it needs a couple things (timing belt/WP job, exhaust manifold gasket, hood latch, and rear brake shim clanking). What gives me concern is the amount of rust underneath...
I am also experiencing a rattle over any bump coming from the passenger rear side. Could be brake cable or shock mounts. Just wondering if anyone had any luck with what it could be?
So after driving it around the block a few times, the light goes out on it's own. No bad sounds and temp gauges are all good. Could be the send unit going bad but I will keep an eye on it.
i haven't driven it around just for fear of making anything worse but it stays on as its running. I will definetly have the fluids flushed and refilled.
Just recently purchased a 2000 LC with 202k miles and it needs some work done to it. Whenever I start it, the A/T temp light comes on and it's really dim. But there are no issues with it shifting or wierd smells. It doesn't seem to be any real issues. There wasn't one when I test drove it a few...
I will have a look at wheel bearings and U joints. Rear rotors and calipers were just done and alternator was done by the seller yesterday.
Im sure it will need some things done that I haven't found yet.
