I'm looking at possibly buying an 09 4Runner Urban Runner model. What are the things I should look for and is this a good model. I'm sure there are FAQ pages out there. I did a quick search but didn't see it right away. Any thoughts of what to look for, pros and cons, maintenance, etc. Also...

I used the permatex adhesive and it's been close to 5 years and holding very well still. Granted the fj40 is garaged most of the time and not out in the elements for some perspective. But I think it's really good nonetheless

And btw @65swb45 that day still has yet to come and it's still sitting the way you left it ;) and running fine

I don't know but he had contacted me saying he had one that got pulled off a 40 that was sitting in the back of the warehouse so I don't actually know if they had one like that model.

This comment is funny because that's exactly how I found mine on craigslist. It had sat there for weeks when I found it with that search, and I was surprised to see it was still available. But I think it is because of that magic search "land cruiser" that I was able to find the gem that I did...

@Andretti79 or yeah you could definitely always do that with your old ones that have broken prongs.

If yours is like mine, and it sounds like it is. You don't have to remove any grommets. They're these little metal grommets and you just have to push them through the holes all together. It's sort of hard to see by my picture, but the metal grommets should just squeeze through holes and then...

@vsatking What is the status of your 80? It's been a few years, did you ever pick up one of those used motors and get it swapped in. Curious how painful it was as I probably have the same fate in my future.
