No, not to the factory bench frame. I ended up taking the bench frame out and installing the seat frame kit from @cumminscruiser

I'm digging this. I've got the 2.5" OME lift now on some older 33x10.50 tires that will need replacing later this year. It might be time for some 4" leaf springs and 35's!

I think my only real concern is around the future maintenance, especially compared to the 4runner. Living in San Diego, we have a lot of stop and go, short trips. Running the truck and turning it off again before the engine is fully warm kind of stuff. That type of driving might be a non issue...

Interesting. I bought the current ignitor, coil, and distributor from the same person that I bought my current 2F from. I was pretty new to the FJ40 world then and didn't give it much thought. Put it all in and didn't give it much thought until I had the issue with the broken connector recently...

We had a great time, despite our break down. Turned out that the clips on my distributers wire connector were broken. Those washboard trails were causing it to separate. The old 2F ran the best it has in awhile the whole way home. Ha!
