Just a heads up. I hiked this trail about a month ago, I'm a local, Montrose, and it's the only trail I've hiked in the last ten years where I started getting blisters, and that was in the first mile. It's that steep. Just be prepared. However, the results of your labor will be worth it.
I'm sure there will be much disapproval, but I used a simple kit from walker products that I believe came from Amazon and purchased the secondary diaphragm from City Racer. As I mentioned, it runs fantastic!
Someone on this site will know exactly what this is. I do not know but mine goes nowhere and is sitting on the top of my steering box. I'm thinking some kind of atmospheric pressure sense?
I had great luck rebuilding my carb. I've owned this machine for over 30 years and I don't remember it ever running this good. I have rebuilt countless carburetors over the years so I'm very comfortable doing so. If you are up for it, I say rebuild.
