Does 5 hours sound reasonable? Claimed the 'entire top' including intake manifold had to come off the engine to get to the starter...Not super mechanically inclined, but $1000 to replace a starter seems a bit nuts....

I hadn't thought of that at all. No idea if the last one was corrected for or not. I've simply been dividing the miles on the trip meter by the number of gallons I'm putting in. Definitely no correction on the new one.

Hi All, On my second 100 series. My last one ('98) I remember getting ~13-14MPG pretty regularly driving around town with a bit of highway thrown in. That rig had front/rear bumpers, full armor, drawers, 4.88gears..in theory the thirstier of the two trucks. My new (to me) '99 consistently gets...

'99 would be my vote. Rear e-locker > a-trac in my book, and it's practically begging for a front air locker. Also rear AC available.

I read a good quip about this a few days ago... Paraphrasing here....The 100 is like an all season radial, pretty good at most everything, but doesn't excel at any one particular thing. 80 is more like a M/T tire. If you want to go kick up mud only, get an 80.

The larger sidewall is appealing. But the cheaper tire is really compelling. The Nissan served us well, and never let us down. That said, the build quality on that thing was pretty horrendous. A Toyota she was not...

Correct on the bumper. I'm kind of wanting a set of 16s as the KO2s are quite a bit cheaper with that wheel size...
