thanx for the posts. The PO had fabricated a rod from the 4 low that wouldn't allow it to go thru 3 positions only 2 and was stuck in what I assume neutral ..stting for 15 plus years. Looks like a discontinued item, will have to have fabricated thanks again for the input.

Thanx snow day today will try again and try to post pics + 0k, I did some more research and it has what looks like ASCO on top of transfer case with 4 I 1690 stamped on small pad. Looking at other posts I assume it is 1974 September # 1690 produced. That being said it is hooked to advanced...

Locked hubs, tried backing up and moving forward thru all transfer gears and still no moving when releasing clutch in 4 low?

Manually moved linkage to low from underneath, drive shaft engaged but when released clutch , nothing will move in 4h an 2h?

1975 fj40 with sm465 to afco transfer case will move in 2 high and 4 high but when letting out clutch in 4 low wont move please any suggestions before i remove and try to rebuild. New to this thanx.

Attempting to re-wire heater switch. Pulled switch from 1974 Fj40. It has 4 spade male plug, female half missing. Connected Blue wire/Red stripe to same on male. I have power. I have Blue with black stripe and Blue with White coming from blower. No matter which way these are switched only can...
