With the price of the brake assembly with master cylinder getting lower, I think this should become a maintenance item once the truck hit 200K mile. After all, brake is the most important safety feature. $1500 is still high, but it came down from...
This past weekend RS had the annual Snow Run. It was awesome. The coldest I saw was 7F. 45mph gusts.
The Super Cruiser put in work! Pulled out a few trucks with snatch straps and my winch. Used the supercharged V8 to blast up through the last...
I've no doubt. A non replaceable seal in master. Is screeching at you.

It's really best to order parts using ones own VIN#. Example; there is a variation between early to late 2000 brake master. Order the wrong one and wire harness block will not fit.
From another thread somewhere:
The correct ABS booster + master cylinder assembly depends entirely on the manufacturing date of your 100 and whether or not you have VSC:
47050-60010: without VSC; 01/1998-07/1999
47050-60012: without VSC...

Actually, it's 99.99% impossible for the fluid to leak from inside the black plastic...
ABS unit (AKA black box & sliver block on side of master).
ABS unit, is not meant to be a serviceable part. But I want to go ahead and show some of it's workings. It's attach to masters body with 6 bolts. Between the master and sliver block is a...
