Rusty 83 FJ60 for your...

Ok, This is the second 60 that I need to get out of my yard. PhilC took the first one for the motor. It was the donor for the interior of this one many, many years ago...

83, FJ60 with ~225K on it. It ran a few months ago, and I have no reason to think it wont run now.

It has a bad rear main, that has saturated the clutch.
The brakes are soft.
The rear diff has developed a whine from years of my wife making the kids laugh as she made the front end bounce on the way to school and back. She stopped when the pinion nut came off and had to be tightened back up.
The unicorn and pokemon stickers on the inside of the rear windows are free.
Other than the rims, stickers, noise, leaks and the 87 interior, it is all stock.

I figure it's worth around a grand in trading value...so I'm looking for something comparable, as far as used junk goes...
I've got a few toyotas, so...I am open to trades for tires and/or suspension upgrades for pre 85 minis, 55s or 80s.

Thats ok, as long as this one has tires....or wheels, or spindles, or something other than trunion cap studs to glide up onto the trailer on. I also suggest bringing a real winch this time. Not the $.99 ebay winch.

Take off the radiator cap, drive a mini under the cap....

Throw the cap back at the 60.....put a mini cap on the mini truck & drive it to my house

I choose to enjoy the things I like, minis being one of those things, im too soft fir the LC world

It does require alot of effort.

Lots of wrenching
Lots of overtime at work to afford the vehicles and parts
Having to DD a tow vehicle
All the extra space just for the parts vehicles
etc...

I've got an idea:
Go back to the guy with the 84 cab, tell him you were all wrong and the 84 is just like the 89 , and you want it anyway.
I'll bring the 60, and you can put the cab on the 60 frame.
Then when your driving it, it'll look like a mini from the drivers seat... It's all just a matter of perspective..

Edit: on mine all the caps are the same.
