We're gonna try something a little/lot different this month. The heat is beating us out of the non air conditioned trail rigs so this will be daily driver 4WD friendly.

Here's the deal:
Each truck will need a driver and navigator. You will be given a set of coordinates that you must navigate to as quickly as possible using a GPS. Once you've found the location take a picture of your truck at the location and move on to the next set of coordinates.

Each location is given a points value and you will be given more locations than you can find in the given amount of time. Strategy is the name of the game.

Vehicle & GPS Requirements:
4WD will be needed occasionally but this is not extreme, daily driver 4x4 trucks can handle this, pin-striping and damage is highly unlikely.

GPS: you will need a GPS that can navigate to Latitude & Longitude. Many vehicle GPS devices have this but it's up to you to figure out how. If no GPS, try your smartphone. You have 10 days.

When: 10AM -2:30 PM +/-
Be prepared to LEAVE Amicololla Falls Lodge at 10:00 AM. you might want to work out dropping passenger/navigator vehicles off at a central location for retrieval at the end of the day so choose your team mate now.

Where:
Posting exact locations would defeat the purpose but the Amicololla Falls and surrounding areas. This means FS roads, black tops and a little 4WD needed, have a full tank of gas when you arrive.

As of last night we had about 6 trucks committed to participating.

Here's a sample of what you will receive:

Coordinates: N34 21.202 W84 02.813 (Not the actual coordinates of the picture location but they will match up on the morning of)

The picture- now all of you guys already know this location so it's not the best example but at least you get the idea.

Hey Jim--got your voicemail earlier, I'll call you a little later. To answer your question--Yes- be ready to leave Ami Falls at 10:00. This means if you want b-fast at the lodge be there early. see you Saturday!

This sounds like fun - not going to make it happen this weekend though...

Nick--you'd better be prepared to help Jason on the Nav skills, he's scared and keeps sending me emails with teardrops on them. :flipoff2:
