Ok, here is the deal; 4 of us pig owners got together and had 100 ft of this tailgate channel rubber made up; Inge graciously sent us a sample.......we had the tooling made up at our cost + a run of 100 ft and now we now have tailgate channel rubber; this was now longer available "unobtanium" when we checked; 2 ft 10 inches are needed for each tailgate window; this is new rubber and should hopefully last another 30 years; we are are selling 3 ft for 20$ + shipping and the money will go into a "kitty" to have dies fabbed for the "unobtanium" door glass channel rubber"......SOR has ONLY one left although has it listed for front and rear and no plans for any more:frown:.........conversation had with their parts man last week:frown:......when this window channel rubber deteriorates the glass slides out of the holding channel and hangs up in the grooves; one of my windows is doing this and after looking at the others; it is only a matter of time before they will also!

Lou I am not sure what part, are you talking about # 26

You can definitely put me down for a piece... just clarify which piece it is:lol:

I know all my rubbery stuff is bad:rolleyes:

Lou is talking about 26. Ruber that holds the glass in the track. It also, in conjunction with the inner felt and outer wipe seals your tailgate a little more from water flow in.

Im in. how and where do we pay the kitty. Would it not be better to put the money in a trough? what if the kitty runs away with the money, gets hit by a Jeep, and the guy driving the jeep keeps the money. Just a thought.

Is the rubber that's shown in the other thread?

In the most recent thread on "other Pig Porn"...yes, that is the rubber.

edit: Quality extrusion Lou. Very nice. Thanks for all of your work.

yep, it is part 26; when that rubber channel goes bad the tailgate window will start to slip out and ends up "hanging" sideways; then you have to beat it down to open it but it just gets worse as after a while the glass will slip totally out of the channel and bind............4 of us got together and got the dies made + a run of 100 Ft; you only need 2 ft 10 inches to do a tailgate channel; we are sending out 3 ft sections so there will be a bit extra....all of us pig owners will be needing the door window channel rubber; some sooner, some later....it is also unavailable and will have to pay for the tool maker to fab the dies for the rubber extrusion; thus the need to put the money back into the kitty :); you can PM me your needs on the tailgate rubber...........20$ + 7$ shipping; HTH

you can send me either a check or paypal; 20$ for each 3 ft ..............shipping is around 7$ for one strip up to 4.....looking forward to getting the window channel regulator rubber made up next 3-4 weeks; am hurting for this rubber also....... one of my windows ......PS front binds when letting it down and the rest are pretty loose in their channels...only a matter of time before they crap out:frown:
