That looks like the stock color on mine, but mine is original '65 so it is hard to tell exactly. what color code did you use? OME 2" suspension? Looks great, btw...

cheers,

Joel

I've got this truck now in Ottawa, Canada. Basics were there but after MUCH work it is almost ready for road. I still think I got a good deal and I look forward to driving it for a long time up around Round Lake near Pembroke/Killaloe area. Honk if you see me up there.....

63 FJ45 almost ready...again

New rad, New transfer case...rebuilt whole front end...brakes redone front and back. Ordered headache rack from Kevin.....what else. Had to get new door window inserts to match vent windows. Stock heater to allow for safety......It's close......very close.

Bought from an Artist in Toronto who was selling for friend who had bought it from Jordan in BC. It was sitting covered in snow in his yard with water in the rad when I came to pick it up on a wickedly cold -30 day last winter. I got it for a good price and I have spent some good money getting it ready. It will keep rolling for a long time yet once completed!

In a strange coincidence my name happens to be Jordan too...same as the guy that started the build. Last I heard Jordan is surfing somewhere in Hawaii......surfing and FJ45's...... sound like a pretty good life!

Your wind sheild frame is from a late 70s model. 63/4 fixed hard top trucks had wipers on the top with separate motors. They had a large vent across the bottom.

The fixed hard top truck had plates instead of hinges at the base of the ws. They have the same bolt holes. I took the top off mine so I switched to hinges and they swapped fine. Fixed top trucks have two triangle shaped brackets that bolt to the dash and the ws frame and then bolt together. You can see the bolt holes in your dash. Your ws frame has the bolt holes for the late model removable hold down screw.

It looks like what you have now to keep the ws from folding on the hinges is just the top. That's not going to keep a good seal or give good support.

Any way to send me some pictures of the way it should be set up? Also, I would like to go topless with this truck. Is it possible to do this without too much modification or is it not wise.

Looks good, another 45 back on the road.

doors are newer style also not bat wing
sheild frame is from a late 75s or newer
