Hey all...

on my recently (nearly) completed truck... https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=181646

I need the clip for the center latch that holds the removeable top on.

clear as mud? There are 3 latches that hold the removealble top to the lower portion of the cab. For the center latch, I need the clip that the latch latches to. Mine was busted at the mount hole.

Let me know if you can help me out with one, obviously willing to cover cost and shipping.

I thought someone made a batch of those maybe 1 1/2years ago. maybe search, it was in this forum. if not cruiser guy in central america was able to source some from the wrecking yards down there, not sure if he still can or not tho.

I'm planning to hit the wreckers tomorrow. If I find one I'll see what copies might cost. Don't hold your breath though as I haven't seen a '45 yet at this particular wrecker. I did pick up a half dozen from a wrecker in Honduras a few years ago but those are long gone.
 
Made some out of steel, very simple, the factory cast ones are subject to breakage if there is too much tension on the clasp. I remember a thread on this previously. If not in a hurry I could try to make some.

I did make quite a few of the hooks last year, due to recent requests I am preparing to run another batch. Anyone interested please shoot me a pm so I can run enough to help everyone out. Pricing and the free replacement waranty if broken remain the same.

these latches and hooks look to be VERY similar to the 1965 and earlier FJ40 front windshield latches if not the same ???
 
what are the dims for the top clips
the early windshield clips are 1" wide 3/16" thk 1" hole to hole spacing

I need one of these roof latches

Does anyone have one kicking around? Not that I plan taking the roof off today - it's a balmy -4 F (or -20 for us metric folk) today.

I need the one for the latch behind the passenger seat.
