Lets say hypothetically that I have a friend who recently aquired a metal toolbox and "he" was wondering what tools(if any) would have come in that toolbox originally. He was also wondering if anyone had a part # for a factory lock:).

It's a good thing that it's your friend, because hypothetically speaking I don't believe the box ever came in the Land Cruiser...................... :p

I'll see if I can find the post, Landpimp had a picture with the contents, posted here or on Pirate a long time ago. I believe it had the gease gun and was the same as the tool roll.

Heres' the picture, you'll have to search for the post. A few of the tools are still available new.

Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to have an excellent complete tool roll, it might look something like this:

Thank you. I searched high and low and came up with Landpimps post on a thread started by "Brian" in chit chat regarding factory tool kits but the pictures had been erased.

Seriously guys, did the box come in the Land Cruiser? What years, if it did?

I'm guessing that since that manual mentions it is under the assistant driver's seat that it wasn't from a US market truck.

from the pics in the rest of the 64book it looks as if its a rhd truck...so the underseat box is on pass (assistant drivers) side...(drivers side in US) tool box used in place of the tool roll...i am 95% sure we only saw tool roll's here (I could be wrong)...i cant see too many years them doing it...it probably could have been (upgraded?)ordered at anytime tru toyota during that era...they (toyota) probably found it to be redundant to have a box in a box...and it takes up much more room than a tool roll.

My 2C...but it was in land cruisers...that is a definate...but usa market ? we will probably never know :)

I am looking for the tool box only. This was an original box for Toyopet and I have all of the tools. The tool box that is shown is the one I am need of,if anyone has one for sale in good condition or restorable condition will be great.

Thanks
Frenchy

Good luck.

I've heard good things about SOR, so when Shane pointed us to a bunch of old hubcaps, well I signed up to place an order. To make a long story short, I placed my order on line, and was told that my order was placed on hold till I called in my Credit Card info. Tried calling in right away, but get this, before I could even reach anyone I get another e-mail telling me that the parts were no longer available??? I write back arguing that if my order was on hold, then how could the parts be sold out from under me so fast??? A guy named Paul answered with a "first come first serve" argument...but I WAS first!

Is it just me, or does this not sound right to anyone else?

Anyways, its too bad really, as I did hear lots of good things about them, and looked forward to ordering a few things for my restorations. Never got my hubcaps, and I doubt I will ever try to order from them again.

I have a set of 4 hub caps if you are interested they are dented up and will need of rechroming or you can paint them. They are from a 1958 to 1962 Land Cruiser. With the emblem in the middle a small T .

Let me know

Frenchy, you need to speak to Marv directly, I pm'd you.

Dean, I agree. But, if I was serious about those hubcaps when they came up, I would have called or had someone go in to get them, because that's who got them first.

Dean if you are not interested in these I'd like the opportunity to buy them.

Jim I did call...plus we went back and forth a few times by e-mail, and still I could not understand how they could tell me that my order was on hold, and then sell them to someone else.

Not to worry, these hubs were not the first thing on my list, I do have 4 of them, albeit worse for ware, but I know that they are hard to find, so I figured I'd buy a complete set.

Thanks Frenchy...you have PM :)

I have talked with Marv and no luck he doesn't have a tool box as mentioned in my previous post. If perhaps if anyone knows of someone that may have one for sale let me know.

Thanks
