The Saran Wrap (Reynolds wrap) trail run is this Saturday, 10/19. We will meet at the USUAL MEETING PLACE IN WOODLAND PARK 8:30am:

:bounce:WESTERN GAS STATION IN WOODLAND PARK:bounce2:

Traildamage has some good info located here:

Saran Wrap

This is our adopted trail (depending on who you ask:meh:), so we will be doing some trail cleanup during the run. It is probably a good idea to bring some gloves and a trash bag or 2.

There was some talk at the meeting about driving Eagle rock in addition to Saran Wrap. Here is a link to the info:

Eagle Rock

Too bad I have to work Saturday! I havent been that way in a bit, do they have Old Stage open yet?

??? Saw this too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsO9TtiOsOo

So is Saran Wrap/Eagle Rock not going to be an option for us this weekend?

Any other ideas if it is in fact accessible?

I really had my heart set on wheeling this weekend. :steer:

That's between tunnel one and two on the east side. You will be able to (have to?) come down from the cripple creek side.

So, yes the trail and the upper end of Gold Camp are entirely inside Teller county so we could access it through divide. If that is something everyone wants to do, we can change the meeting point to the Western station in WP at 8:30 and I can lead us there.

That plan is good for me. I also need some wheelin this weekend, so I am in for anything close if we cant make Satan wrap work...hehe: spell check changed it from saran to Satan. Satan wrap would probably be a good trail name too.

Lol. Saran Wrap isn't all that bad. Some of the lower slung rigs with their heated leather seats and plastic bumpers overhanging may scrape a little. No worries though, that guy's air compressor will probably explode and put him in the hospital before we have to see all that.

Eagle Rock is where you'd really push your luck, only because you haven't got locking axles yet. There's some pretty tricky spots up there.

Ha!!!

Apparently this guy fixed his compressor with JB weld too. :grinpimp:

I'm thinking of taking off my rear bumper for the trip... before Satan Wrap does it for me.

What do you guys think? Good call or overkill?

rear bumper ripped off.webp

Lmao @ the exploded neighborhood. Hahaha.
That actually happened in my old Louisiana neighborhood, guy was using gas to clean parts on his corvette or something, left the gas laying out and when the water heater ignited, it blew his garage OFF his house. Lol. Bolted me straight upright in bed at 10:30 one night.

If the rear bumper is really easy to take off, it might not be a bad idea. Plus it'll look tough.

Haha it's soon to come now that Travis has his first dent! I told him that he'd have a solid axle swap and 37's before the end of next summer

Why doesn't your hundy look like this yet???

I'm pretty sure that's a 105 (a 100 with a solid axle). Very few SAS's out there on 100's. The rest of the world got the 105 and we got the IFS Macy's cruiser. :D

I'm hoping that taking off the rear bumper will save me from having to buy a $$$$$ rear bumper, but if I "accidentally" obliterate the front bumper, I guess I'd have to get a bull bar. :grinpimp:

I'm damn proud of that dent. :D
