Overview:
We've owned this vehicle since 2020. Per the CarFax report we pulled back then, this appeared to be owned by one individual in Arizona for the bulk of its life, from 1998 until 2016 when it was shipped to Costa Rica. It is unclear if ownership changed at that time. The vehicle was re-imported back to Texas in 2019, then re-sold and purchased by us in 2020. At the time of our purchase, the vehicle had some modifications (lift, bumper, etc.), along with some cosmetic changes (grill, blacked out emblems and trim, etc.) appeared to have been very recently installed. The lift required the AHC to be disconnected, but whoever did the work did not fully delete it and the system is still present (but inoperable) on the vehicle. Factory 3rd row seats included! It's been my wife's daily driver and our road trip vehicle for the last six years. It’s been a great car, but time for something different. We immediately undid most of that recent modification and cosmetic work: stripped off the existing roof rack, lights, taillight covers, black badging, and re-installed a stock grill, stock chrome badging on the rear and had the rear vent covers re-painted back to stock configuration. We then removed the steps, added on OEM front mud guards, and swapped out wheels to the TRD rock warriors. Additional modifications we made after that were the replacement of the head unit with a new Pioneer model with CarPlay and a backup camera. Additionally, we later added a Pro Speed roof rack and low profile, front-facing LED light bar. More small tweaks included an extra-large front cup holder from ih8mud contributor Ben’s 3D prints, and the swapping out of the cigarette lighter for a set of USB charger ports.
Mechanical repairs performed since 2020 are listed in detail below. The most significant of those is that the timing belt HAS been replaced in the last 90k miles. The radiator was replaced with an OEM, along with all OEM hoses, and OEM reservoir. Heater tees were also replaced at that time. The rear control arm bushings were starting to rot, so all suspension bushings have been pressed out and replaced with OEM parts. Front CV axels were replaced with OEM (spare boot kits will be included with the purchase).

Potential Attention Needed:
- The remote key fobs haven’t ever worked for us, not sure why, but we have them, along with master key.
- The windshield has a crack on the driver’s side (doesn't seem to have grown much), along with several rock chips
- Slow oil seep on the passenger side of the engine compartment, appeared to be coming from the power steering reservoir which was recently replaced. Haven’t determined if that eliminated it or not.
- The folding function on the side mirrors only intermittently operate when the button is pressed
