This is not my sale but it is in my area and I checked it out this morning and here are my thoughts/ observations:
Seller says he’s owned it since new. I believe it’s been in their family since new. Purchased in Colma, CA (South of SF) and it’s resided in the Bay.
I saw a low mileage LX for a decent price and decided to check it out. Seller says it’s been “well maintained” but I disagree.
I really wish I took pictures but I did not so bear with my description.
Massive coolant leak. It honestly looked like one of the coolant hoses was having an aneurysm and was ballooning out. Pink discharge was going down the front covers from a few of the coolant lines as well as seepage from the heater Ts.
No timing belt history but carfax says TB was “checked” in 2022. I believe it’s the factory TB. No sticker identified. I’m assuming the worse.
CVs are throwing grease on both sides. Most of the suspension bushings are worn. Slight surface corrosion on the frame/ suspension/ axles. Paint is in OK shape. Couple dings and small dents but nothing big. Fluids seemed ok. Oil was changed here and there. PS, brakes, AHC are due for a change.
Aftermarket LED lamps.
Front seat bottoms appear to be reupholstered.
BUT most everything works; sunroof, AHC, lights, 4WD.
Carfax shows the mileage is accurate.
Would be a good purchase someone looking for low mileage cruiser needing a little maintenance to get up to speed.
