Well the time has come
1972 Toyota fj40
- 1F engine has been redone with almost 100% of everything in the engine bay being new or redone
- H41 4 speed transmission with the 4.9:1 "crawler" gear, fully rebuilt with all new bearings, seals and shafts
- Orion 4:1 low range transfer case all new internals
- Custom front and rear driveshafts
- Front differential has 4:10 gears and a lock right locker installed, all new bearings and seals
- Rear differential has 4:10 gears and a Detroit locker installed, all new bearings and seals
- 5 matching 33x10.5r15 mickey thompson baja mtz on new toyota original wheels with hubcaps
- Fj60 power steering added
- Fj60 front knuckles with disk brakes
Interior
- Original bench seat with all new seat foams and covers from cruiser corps
- Twin stick transfer case shifters to choose 2wd high or low
- Factory floor mats front and rear
- Front and rear heaters have both been went through, cleaned and painted
- Fuel tank has been cleaned and repainted
Exterior
- Body is all original except for the rear door sill that was replaced
- New door seals on the rear hatch and front doors
- New front door window felts and cranks
- New door latches
- Trucklight LED headlights with new highbeam floor switch
- New exterior mirrors
- New windsheild with gasket
- New side steps with rock sliders
- All running gear has been sandblasted primed and painted professionally
- Brand new Warn 8274 never been used from the late 70's
This has been a long term rebuild for me. It has been rebuilt from the ground up with as many new parts as I could find. The whole drivetrain has been rebuilt and painted but kept the original body in its condition.
Im hesitant to let it go but I think its time to let it go.
