I have been tire searching. Mainly on a budget. I was going to pick up some used rubber from someone who was going to deliver to me, but things came up so I reverted to the Local area. I did some research on the size of tire I'd want to go to. 285/75/16.

Picked up some 40th anny rims from a buddie in seattle and flew them back with me to Ocean Springs. Toted the rig another 500 miles to Houston and found these Falken Rock Mountain ATS meats. At $166 a pop I had to bite. That and the 50,000 mile warranty.

Tire Details - Discount Tire

I really wanted to get some Hankooks, but couldn't swing it this time around, so I'll give these a go.

I like how they look. Now to get a 2.5 OME Suspension upgrade.

Just ordered 315/75-16 from Americas tire. Got them to price match a store 75 miles away. They come in tuesday. Falken ran the same version 37X13.50R18 in KOH looks like they re grooved the tread.

I'm hoping for the price they are a decent tire. Reviews seem to be great. I wanted a Mud, however they are $$ for 5 tires and i have had muds on alot of trucks and wanted something cheaper.

BTW Let me know what you think of them.

Shoulda bought MTRS...LOL

Interesting finding, I tow this behind my coach. I usually average about 9.55 miles per gallon. Discount Tire said I should run them at 35 PSI but they go up to 65PSI. I took their advice. 7.82mpg. WOW. I've since put 50psi in noticed a difference right afterwards. I may go to 60psi and monitor the tires from the system I have. Tires usually go up in pressure after they warm up... about 5-10psi depending on weather.

I would like to know what you think of your 315's when you get them. I was about to order the same for my truck. Need something that is good offroad but will hold up to driving my rig loaded from wisconsin to Cali on vacation.

I'll keep you posted. I get them sometime this week. I'm picking up my wheels from the chrome shop today bling, bling.

One of the big reasons for the trigger pull, was the 50,000 mile warranty on the tires.

That was part of the reason I was looking as well I normally put 350+ miles a week on mine. So tires wear out fast.

The 315's don't carry the 50k warranty since its considered a oversize tire.

Cool, the falken website said no warranty on the size.

I will order them from Discount and make sure I ask them since their website shows a warranty. I would like to hear about some one running them a little before I drop the coin on 5 of them.
Thanks

I bought a set of five tires sized 285/75-16. I have not mounted them yet. I'm waiting for my 2.5" TJM lift kit to arrive.;)

No reason to not mount them. Same ones I have. Loaned the rig to my brother and he loaded it down good, still no rub. (about 1000lbs there) Picture taken today. My suspension is really bad too.

NO RUBBING!

Not all of us have Obama on speed dial to ask for more money. My tax dollars paid for your tires :flipoff2:

Your tax dollars went to the defense contractor LMSSC CEO. A salary of 3.5 million to run her lips. FRAUD, WASTE and ABUSE!

I bought 3 pairs of these falken 315/70/16, just so i can rotate and make them last long as possible.. down to around 11-12 mpg

What PSI are you running?

Does this tire (285/75-16) fit in the spare tire location with no issues?
