While I was searching through a salvage yard I discovered a wrecked 1991 Lexus LS400 and noticed the resemblance in the interior door handles to the 80 series. I'm not a large fan of adding unnecessary "bling", but I figured it would be nice to replace the stock plastic handles with a stronger metal set.

Here are a few shots of them in comparison to each other.

They are pretty much identical in how they mount and they fit well in the factory handle housing. The only modification to the chrome handle is that you need to drill a hole in the tab where the plastic housing screws in (red arrow shows where). I'll include a pic of this to follow as well as some pics with the panels on. I didn't get a chance to take a pic with the panel completely together but I'll try to upload a complete shot tomorrow.

Overall, I'm satisfied with them and they feel much better. Plus they look good with the minor chrome strip currently on the panels and give it a more modern appearance. I got the set of 4 for $40 at the salvage yard but you can find them on eBay too.

cool, too bad I don't find many wrecked LS's around my parts haha. I actually used to have a 99LS. I guess ebay/craigs is the best bet if anyone decided to do this.

Only possible con is they don't stay "neutral" to the touch when it's cold out.
But I like 'em! People think they're factory installed.
Good job!

PS - The ones on ebay were priced higher than the local wrecking yard.
