Anyone replace the IFS diff stopper mounts, one for sure is just about gone on my 86 Runner

bump stps
I have. They're called bump stops and they're easy to replace Just shoot them with a good penetrating oil a few times before you remove them. Loosen the nut and if they begin to turn (they will) use a pipe wrench or vice grips on them to hold them while you finish removing the nut. After market low bump stops like the energy suspension are found in most of the chain parts stores. Before you remove them, jack your truck up, so that the tires are completely off the ground, put jack stands under it and then look at your cv angels. If you still have a reasonable angle on droop than you can get a good idea on what size bump stop you can go to to get more articulation. Now with a jack under the lower control arm as close to the wheel as possible , jack the wheel up untill it hits the bump stop and again look at your cv angle AND your tire clearance to determine if you have room to go with a lower bump stop for compression. This also shows you which bump stop controls which movement. Resist the urge to go to ,to great of a cv angle on your new bump stops because that creates weakness in your cv joints. Good luck. It is easy to do and a good mod to gain a little more travel.

I think you are confusing the A arm bump stops with the two on the front diff. I went to the dealer and found that they are no longer available, the aft one on my truck is SHOT!

Umm, pics please b/c I don't get if you're referring to the steering stops or what here. Parts are available through the aftermarket, but pics will help so we get you the correct part#.

^For all we know it could mean the torsion snubber built into the front cover like in the lower left of this picture.

Okay guys.... Sorry I don't have pictures, if one of you were to look at the IFS diff, drivers side axel you will notice a mount, that is what I am referring to, it is very similar to the mount found on the front of the diff. Mr. Toyda calls it a Stopper, don't argue that's what the Toyota system calls it. I will try and get some photos so I can more accurately describe what I am talking about.

Old stock #'s 52283-35010, same # was used all the way up through 1995 and it's how I found the other part above.

Okay perhaps I am a blind idiot, I can't for the life of me fine the part I'm am looking for anywhere on Energy Suspension's site. I tried the part number you gave me, I tried a search and still nothing, where are you finding these and can you post a link to the exact ones that they say will work for an 86 4Runner front IFS differential.
