I finished the deal for the FJ60 tonight, and its sitting in my driveway now! I'm stoked to have such a awesome truck for my first car.

Tomorrow I'm going to be doing some cleaning, removing stains, and buttoning things up here and there. Overall its a solid truck and I'm very pleased to own it.

I'll post some better pics in the next few days, but this will do for now:

Nice cruiser, keep up the oil and fluid changes. MIke

Hey man, that is an awesome truck! Im happy that you are a mud member. I have been in contact with the owner for a while trying to work out a trade for my tacoma but it didn't work out. You have a good taste in vehicles and you got my dream 60. Take good care of it and if you ever decide you want a tacoma more, just let me know!

Thanks! He mentioned that someone from SOCAL wanted to trade a Taco; I was wondering if I would run into you on here sometime. And don't worry, I'll take great care of it. Tomorrow I'm planning on starting to clean up the interior, and I'll have plenty of pics on this thread in the next few days, so keep an eye out!

Interior Clean-Up Started!

So this morning I had a little time to start working on the Cruiser, so I unbolted the front two seats and the center console. I wanted to work on it all day, but I had to go down to Morgan Hill to help paint my Aunt's house, so I only got a few hours in the evening to put the shop-vac to work. After I got everything cleaned up, I started removing coffee stains from the passenger seat. For now I am going to be removing all of the seats and using stain removers on them and the carpet, along with armor all-ing everything. I gotta do something while I wait for registration and insurance!

So here's what it looked like after the seats were out:

There was some nasty stuff under the center, funny watching my mom cringe though! :D

This is what I'm working on cleaning now:

And last but not least, a better shot of the truck as a whole.

So far its turning out really fun to work on, this is the type of thing I miss about training in the Auto Shop class at CCOC!

That is one fine truck, hopefully you never need to sell it. While reading your original thread I was to late to see it on craiglist, so missed the price. How much did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm curious for my own cruiser shopping so I pay the right amount when I find one. Thanks.

Go to the marine store or a boating store and look for a cleaning product called "SPRAY NINE" it is the most amazing cleaner....spray it on your coffee stain and wipe it off just like that....it works awesome on paint and trim as well.
very good product and will save you hours of rubbing and scratching at stuff.

:flipoff2: Mud welcome

Good looking cruiser. Do some reading and we will find ways to spend all your money.

We paid $5,500 for it, its not the cheapest price ever.... but we decided that it was worth it due to the work the previous had done to it mechanically.

Thanks for the tip, Ill have to look into it. I'm just about out of my 409 carpet cleaner, so I'm going to need more anyway.

Is it Machinist or Masochist? Welcome, If you need any help I'm in San Jose also!
I know where to get good parts and service in the area.
