OK, not MINE, but my grandparent's. We were going through some old pics tonight and found this. It was taken about 1984(ish), up at St. Elmo, CO. Ahhhhhh, the memories I have of "Gunsmoke"!

Wasn't I a dweebie!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, this might put us in the realm of the chit chat, but my family just found this pic of my Dad, my older brother and me taken in Utah in 1972 next to my now deceased grandfather's 40. I guess the cruiser sickness is genetic....

Hope the pic works..

"Gunsmoke" was the name of the '40..........but I've been to that truckstop, too!

Anyone out there have our old cruiser?

There's not a better passion to pass from generation to generation...

Hey Bigndn what year is the cruiser again?

Sorry, I don't remember. Obviously it was pre-1976, I want to say it was a '74, I'll look for more pics. I was about 12/13 in that picture and just knew it was cool. IIRC, my grandparents sold it to a guy that lived (and still does) in the Mt Princeton area. I'll have to ask one of the old neighbors up there and see. Wish me luck! :grinpimp:

Dang Benson, check them stripes. :grinpimp:

72 I was -7 then ;)

The striped pants were on my older brother. I'm the one with the giant cowlick on the back of my hair. Weird to think my Dad was younger than I am now in that pic. Wish his dad had passed the cruiser down.

gotta love trying to find old vehicles that were sold in the past. I wish you luck!

heres my fathers cruiser , he said it was a 65 ?? ,thats my brother and sister in the pic also grandma and grandpa .not sure if the color is stock . also why no white top ,has this rig been painted , he said ,he sold it for junk years ago ,and a dude phoned him 20yrs later to get him to sign over the registration to him , the guy bought it from a junk yard and supposably restored it and is driving it to this day , even back then they where modded , my dad told me he was running a small block in it , 283 .also had a stick on the floor . this pick was taken in the early 70's , sis was born in 71 ,bro in 69. any guess on the year ,does it look like a 65 .

Def a 65.. It has the corregated top. last year before the 66 with bigger side windows and corner windows. It has the vent windshield. It has the luvered fresh air intake for the blower heater. Long side steps too. Probably repainted with that top being the same color. A 64 wouldn't have the fresh air intake for the blower.

COOL pic, I love seeing these old family pics of cruisers. :D

thanks for the info ,don't know that much about the earlier ones . i'm still looking for more pics .
