All,

The '55 I recently purchased has a 2F engine with a Weber 38 carb (soon to be replaced with a rebuilt stock carb, but that is another thread)

I'm having trouble with the throttle linkage. It seems like there is a clip or spring or something that's missing. This causes the ball to fall out of it's joint after the accelerator is depressed.

I have enclosed a photo. Can anyone with this setup tell me what I'm missing and where perhaps I can get a replacement? I've been to a few auto parts stores around my area and shown them the photo with no luck.

Thanks!

Get some other stuff at the same time. S&H is not going to be cheap.

SOR is great for all those hard ( impossible) to find Cruiser parts. I would do as Eddy said and order multiple items. They are not known as $OR for nothing!

You might also try posting a request in the Classified section . Someone probably has part # 50 laying around in a box of parts.

I've seen "hair clip" type piece in that place, local Ace should have a good selection.

going back to a stock arrangement on the carb should help all your mis-alignment issues also.
