Event Notification Thread

Since this came up in the Biff's thread I propose using a single thread to mark all of the events that might be happening with the Alamo City Land Cruisers. Things like; last minute get togethers, wheeling opportunities, monthly meetings, wrench days, real-time help, etc.

How I think it would work would be the people that want notifications of those things could subscribe to this thread and either get email notifications or if they use the mobile app for mud, get popup notifications on the app.

It might work it might not or maybe there are less people that actually want to be notified of those things and a single thread isn't warranted but here it is.

Please keep the thread clean and only post the actual event info, and keep the thread clean of chat about the event so that people's phones aren't getting notifications about how much beer to bring

If this is deemed unneccessary, mods can go ahead and delete.

I like this idea. We can clean up the posts after the event has passed and make it a sticky.

Wrench Day

Wrench Day

In lieu of the Panera meeting this saturday there will be a wrench day at Brett V's place.

Current projects are a CB install, ICON suspension install on an FJ Cruiser, and another suspension adjustment.

Ben M is providing tacos, beer and some sodas.

Location is 26007 Lame Beaver, San Antonio TX. Its in north Stone Oak. Start time is 0900.

Any questions post up.

Shirts and stickers will be on hand for purchase as well. Shirts are $12 and stickers $5.

And a large furnance will be on hand to warm the garage.

The GATOR people (Greater Austin Toyota Offroad) guys are planning a Hidden Falls camping weekend January 4-5. A few of us FJC guys are going as well (most just doing day trip Sat). Here are the details:

"Come join us January 4-5th, 2014 as we hit up Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls.

Camping encouraged, but you'll definitely want to be there for Saturday! BYOB and firewood.

On the trails, 4x4 recommended."

Hidden Falls day run on Saturday. Meeting at McDonald's at 8AM on 281 and Evans, hit the gate by 10:00AM. At least one 80 in so far, and inviting the GATOR guys out of Austin as well.
