I didn't think this was really fitting for the Electronic toys section. If a Super Moderator has a better idea on where to put it, feel free to move as you see fit.

I ran across this when I was working on my rear wiring on my rig. The wires were not long enough and finding the correct color of wire was not working for me. I wanted to keep the wiring loom in line with the FSM colors. I did not want a bundle of connectors so I have found an easy way to re-use the Toyota Spade Connectors. The Toyota connectors are the best that I have found.

Here are the connectors I'm reusing.

Most all of us have the little scew drivers in our tool box.

The blades are too fat to remove the connector without possibly breaking the connector itself.

I found that if you use a RainBird Irrigation Pop up head tool designed for the 5000 series heads, it works fantastic!

Here you can see the difference in the flat long blade design compaired to a standard "Little Screw Driver".

Where are you getting new female and male crimp connectors that will fit in the housing?

When I rewired another car, I found some color coded automobile wire at British Wiring - harnesses for classic cars and motorcycles. It was the only place I found with two-color coded wires (base color with stripe color).

The Toyota wiring harness repair manual has a schematic for making a tool to remove crimp connectors for the housings. It's probably designed to work also with newer connectors that are smaller
