What's to come for my clunker.

The flares came off this past weekend. Will be welding holes this weekend.

After they're all sealed up, thinking of going with Monstaliner in 'Jungle Love'. Not the whole vehicle, basically just the bottom half of the vehicle, starting just below the door handles.

During all this I'm going to fix my leaky driver side birf. Will also be keeping a lookout for a good deal on my previously mentioned locker and sliders.

Also pretty sure the BS bullbar is gonna be coming off, I bent the thing in half nearly on the way up to Surprise lake last weekend.

Check this link out. Some pics of when we herculined yohavos' 80 series. Looked real nice. The herculiner got some really good reviews and definitely held up to its reputation.

Very nice. I actually need to go through and do this to mine. It's already rhino lined but instead of having the holes welded, I opted to just have them taped over. Looked great for a while but now the tape is starting to peel. Need to find myself a welder.

I know a guy w/ a welder. Me. =) Welcome to use it anytime, it's pretty easily portable. Small miller mig setup. About halfway through I got decent at welding the holes up. Fine line between burning a bigger hole and actually closing existing ones up.

But seriously though, any weekend you feel like it, I'll come down and we'll get her done.

So... I think my CDL may not be working. I have a '94 FZJ80 w/ ABS. No cdl switch from the factory, I haven't added one either.

During startup, neither the ABS or CDL light comes on. Are they supposed to?

When I shift into low range, no ABS or CDL light comes on. Is it supposed to?

They should definitely come on in low range. Both of them.

Did the jack test, jacked front passenger tire up in 4lo and it does not spin freely. So I think it's working. I knew my dash lights had issues, I think that is all the problem is. Will check it out more tomorrow am.

Figured out my CDL works just fine. Just half my dash lights are shot, which I already knew.

Put a very light skim coat of filler over the welds to smooth it out a bit, probably didn't need it as the Monstaliner should be plenty thick to cover any irregularities. Hit it with self etching primer to stave the rust off for a few more weeks till I get ready to do the dirty.

Also got tired of my leaky birf. So, that's where I'm at now.

I've got a front end job in my future, noticed some 90 weight on my birf about a week ago.

Summer is waning, but that just means that snow wheeling is around the corner!

I know it! Back in Tejas we never got anymore than 1-2" of snow on the ground at one time. Excited to give it a shot.
